Mclaren and Mercedes have officially confirmed that they will be reviving the legendary partnership in the 2021 F1 season, Mclaren and Mercedes signed 4 years contract, Obviously, in return for supplying the PU, Mercedes also got one of the most talented Formula One drivers, Lando Norris.
Although the Mclaren team is experiencing significantly better times after leaving Honda with Renault, the Woking team has decided to return to Mercedes in the 2021.
McLaren CEO Zak Brown has announced that returning to Mercedes for Mclaren represents a new era:
“This arrangement is an important factor in our long-term vision of returning to the top of Formula 1. Mercedes is synonymous with success and a logical choice for Mclaren.”
According to German media reports, the deal also includes Lando Norris, who is set to become a member of Mercedes’ Tot Wolff-led racing program. The contract is also expected to include racing father, multimillionaire Adam Norris.
