Honda has won two races this season, and in the coming year, the Japanese manufacturer wants to take a step further and join the Red Bull team in the fight for the World Cup title. Honda is expected to invest astronomical 140 million euros in the development of its powertrains 2020 during the off-season 2020.
According to the Italian Gazzette dello Sport, Honda will spend 140 millions of Euros in the off-season 2020, the highest of F1 powertrain manufacturers. Honda wants to take an additional step, especially in the area of power itself, where the competition gap has been the largest in recent years.
Honda will almost double its headcount at the same time as 450 people will work in F1.
