Lewis Hamilton [Mercedes] beat all competition in a tactical fight and celebrated winning the race from the GP of Mexico at the Rodriguez Brothers Race Course. Second place went to Sebastian Vettel [Ferrari] and third to Mercedes Valtteri Bottas.

In a strategic fight with an earlier stop, Hamilton was able to overtake both Ferrari drivers who led in the opening section of the race, and the British, at the end of the race, despite the worn tires, did not offer competitors a real chance of attack.

Despite the much worn tires, Hamilton's stop at the end of the race offered Vettle no chance of attack as the German could not get closer to the Mercedes racer. The purple line at the top did not change the stop of the race. Hamilton, however, celebrated in front of Vettel and Bottas.

The final lap saw the crash of Nic Hulkenberg and Daniil Kvyat, and the maneuver of the Russian racer is being investigated by the commissioners.
