Lewis Hamilton [Mercedes] beat all competition in a tactical fight and celebrated winning the race from the GP of Mexico at the Rodriguez Brothers Race Course. Second place went to Sebastian Vettel [Ferrari] and third to Mercedes Valtteri Bottas.
In a strategic fight with an earlier stop, Hamilton was able to overtake both Ferrari drivers who led in the opening section of the race, and the British, at the end of the race, despite the worn tires, did not offer competitors a real chance of attack.
Sebastian Vettel took the second podium, defending all Valtteri Bottas' attempts at the end of the race, while Charles Leclerc, starting from the best starting position, was left without podiums.
Leclerc finished fourth and Alexander Albon was fifth [Red Bull].
Max Verstappen, who started from the fourth starting position, collided with Bottas after the start, and the Dutchman fell through with a punctured tire at the beginning of the starting row. Verstappen came to a stop in the 6th place at the end of the race.
Sergio Perez [Racing Point] won the excellent seventh place in the home race and Daniel Ricciardo [Renault] was eighth. Both Toro Rosso racers Daniil Kvyat and Pierre Gasly top the top ten, but the Russians run into penalty seconds because of a collision with Nic Hulkenberg.

Alexander Albon started boxing stops among the leading runners, who stopped at . a lap, a lap later followed by lead Charles Leclerc. Vettel took over the race and Hamilton and Bottas continued without stopping, while Leclerc dropped to fourth.

Despite the much worn tires, Hamilton's stop at the end of the race offered Vettle no chance of attack as the German could not get closer to the Mercedes racer. The purple line at the top did not change the stop of the race. Hamilton, however, celebrated in front of Vettel and Bottas.
The final lap saw the crash of Nic Hulkenberg and Daniil Kvyat, and the maneuver of the Russian racer is being investigated by the commissioners.
