Kimi Raikkonen is convinced that nobody will care about slower F1 cars if they bring you more interesting races.
F1 cars 2021 will be heavier 25 kg due to new tires, chassis changes and materials, which means that the next generation of cars will be about 3.5 seconds slower from the current one.
Raikkonen thinks that losing a few seconds per lap won't bother practically anyone.
I don't think three, four or five seconds makes any difference. At the moment, we are really fast in qualifying, but we are also six or seven seconds slower in the race because of the fuel. Every year the times are different and even if we are slower by 10 seconds, this will not bother anyone in the event that the races are more interesting.
