Allison: Falling Ferrari Qualifying Form is “Interesting”

Mercedes technical director James Allison is amazed at the drop in qualifying form that has hit the Ferrari in the last two races after the Maranell team recently sat on Saturday.

While many associate the inferior shape of the Ferrari in one quick lap with the recent FIE Directive, which clearly prohibited any manipulation of fuel flow sensors, Allison is a little more cautious:

“It is undoubtedly very interesting that their superiority in qualifications has suddenly disappeared, as they have been invincible until recently. However, this can be due to different factors and it is too early to draw any conclusions. We will see what happens in the future, but this drop in form is very unusual, especially in such a short time. “
