binotto:-ferrari-gained-100-horsepower-against-mercedes

Ferrari team boss Mattia Binotto has revealed that since the start of the Formula One hybrid era 2014, the Maranello team has made up for it 100 horsepower.

After years of Mercedes domination, this year Ferrari assumed primacy in powertrain power, with the red car reigning mostly on long planes.

During the season, German AMuS reported that Ferrari currently had 50 horsepower, which team boss Mattia Binotto refuses.

“The truth is far from these numbers. In our analysis, our advantage is about 20 horsepower, which is still an enviable figure. Since 2014, we have recovered approximately 100 horsepower behind Mercedes, and our engine development department is did a really great job. We are proud of the progress made in recent years and hope to take another step forward next season. “
