Former Sky F1 racer and reporter Martin Brundle believes that Sebastian Vettel is still a very good racer, but is convinced that the best years are behind him.
Vettel achieved a single victory in the season 2019, and was behind his team-mate Charles Leclerc in the World Cup total.
Brundle thinks the best four-time World Champion years have passed:
“Wheel-to-wheel racing has never been exactly its quality, but it has more problems over the years than before. He still has speed, which he has repeatedly proven in qualifying, but obviously the best years are behind him. He is certainly a high-quality racer, but slowly a new generation of racers is coming to Formula One who are extremely fast and incredibly motivated. ”
