Former Formula 1 racer David Coulthard is convinced that Lewis Hamilton will race for Mercedes even after the season 2020.
Although there have been rumors for months that a six-time world champion could make the transition to Ferrari after his contract with Mercedes expires, David Coulthard is convinced that the Briton does not need a replacement at this point.
Coulthard told Reuters:
“I never thought he would leave Mercedes at all. Even if the allegations about talks with Ferrari hold, I doubt he will really leave. This moment does not need all the drama and emotion that racing for Ferrari brings. He has an extraordinary team behind him to write down the golden age of Formula 1. In my opinion, he will remain with Mercedes after the flight 2020. “
