(Motorsport-Total.com) – In the 70 -year history of Formula 1, there were already more than 70 different race tracks. However, not all of these courses are where you would expect them to be in the first 2d. We took a closer look at these special cases in our United States of America photo series.
The most prominent example is perhaps the traditional “Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps” route. This is because, contrary to what the name suggests, is not in Spa itself. And so the course on which Michael Schumacher made his Formula 1 debut is no exception.
Incidentally, this is a phenomenon that is not only limited to Formula 1 circuits. In other racing series we have also found examples of tracks that are known under the wrong location …
