French TV Channel Canal+ suggested in their live F1 broadcast that Kimi Raikkonen could announce his retirement at Monza, and that Valtteri Bottas will replace him at Alfa Romeo for 2022.

French media state that 41-year-old Raikkonen is expected to be succeeded by Valtteri Bottas behind the wheel of the Alfa Romeo, while Finn’s seat will be occupied by George Russell.

The 2007 world champion transferred to Alfa Romeo from Ferrari in 2019, and the record holder in the number of appearances in Formula 1 is expected to retire definitively, according to French television.

The Finn is expected to announce his retirement in two weeks in Monza, and at Alfa Romeo he will be replaced by his compatriot Valtteri Bottas, who will have to leave his seat at Mercedes to George Russell.
