Red Bull chief consultant Dr Helmut Marko is convinced that Max Verstappen needs two wins in the last five races of this season for his world championship premiere.
With his eighth win of the season, Verstappen increased his advantage over Lewis Hamilton to 13 points in Austin, with five races left by the end of the season.
According to Helmut Marko, the final three races will suit Mercedes better, and the Austrian is convinced that Verstappen can turn the championship in his favor in the next two races in Mexico and Brazil.
“At the start of the season, we said it would take eight wins to win the title. We now have eight and the next two races should suit us. Mexico in general responds to us because of its high altitude. I think we could win the next two races, which would allow us to go to the Middle East a bit more relaxed, where Mercedes will have the advantage due to the long straights. ”
