Walt Czarencki, executive vp, Penske Corp. and vp of Group Penske confirmed on Thursday that the team has no latest plans to field an Xfinity Series car for the 2022 season.

The team is coming off consecutive Championship 4 appearances with Austin Cindric, righteous the 2020 championship. Cindric has moved to the Cup Series to drive the No. 2 Ford.

Since joining the Xfinity Series, Cindric had 13 wins in 133 begins. Group Penske has fielded on the least one fat-time Xfinity Series car since 2009. In 664 Xfinity begins, the team has 81 victories, with the closing coming on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway toll road course in August.

Group Penske has no latest plans to trot in Xfinity this year. If a sponsor comes along, they would participate, per team executive Walt Czarencki.
