Max Verstappen has reached the peak of his career for the time being. In Abu Dhabi where he became Formula 1 World Champion for the first time. Alexander Albon who was the Dutchman’s teammate for a year and a half and spoke to ‘Motorsport-Total.com’ about the great strength of the new world champion.
“More than anything, I was amazed by his ability not to worry. Psychologically, he’s amazing,” reveals Albon, who drove alongside Verstappen in 2019 and 2020 F1 seasons. The Thai added: “He just drives the car and doesn’t think about the Consequences or anything else after what’s happening.”
“That inspired me”, said Albon, who was replaced in Red Bull by Sergio Perez and was still available to the team as a backup pilot.
