Monk racer Louis Chiron is in flight 1955 at the Monaco GP race old
Born in August 1899, the son of a French hotelier in Monaco, Louis Chiron became the most famous athlete of his country of that time. Chiron joined the French army with dual citizenship before his 15. he was in the artillery platoon during World War I. He later became Marshal Foch's personal driver, and after leaving the army, began his racing career with Bugatti. He started racing in local races organized by the Nice Moto Club.
