(Motorsport-Total.com) – The French Grand Prix and the Renault team have teamed up to launch a Formula 1 roadshow tour that started last weekend at Disneyland Paris.

With a total of 14 other appointments in France fans will be introduced to Formula 1. In Paris, the Formula 1 Village was built, where visitors could complete a range of activities such as VR simulators, pit stop exercises, reflex tests or educational conferences.

In the other 14 cities also Daniel Ricciardo, Nico Hulkenberg, Sergei Sirotkin, Jack Aitken and drivers from the Renault junior squad behind the wheel of an E20 sitting, the predecessor Lotus had used in the 2012 season. In Paris, Formula 2 driver Anthoine Hubert was used.

“Meeting fans and showing the magic of Formula 1 to as many people as possible is a goal for Renault,” says team boss Cyril Abiteboul. “Last weekend’s success at Disneyland Paris shows France’s interest in Formula One racing. As a French team, it is important to participate in this national tour.”

The other events will take place between the 20th of April and the 12th of May and will mainly include medium sized cities like Gap, Nice or Toulon. The Grand Prix of France will take place on the 23rd of June.
