Despite the fact that Valtteri Bottas has fallen into a minor crisis lately, Finn is pleased with his performances as he is convinced that the season is over 2019 his best ever Formula One race.
Bottas started the season 2019 in great shape, and after the race in Azerbaijan, the Finn even led the world in the World Cup. Bottas' form has dropped significantly over the last few races, but the Mercedes racer is sure he has never done so well.
Bottas told Motorsportweek.com:
“The positive thing is that this is my best season in Formula 1. The qualifications are very good and I have also taken a step forward in racing. I had a good rhythm in Hungary, but I couldn't show it because of the pitch in the first round. On the other hand, we did not take full advantage of the opportunities offered. Sometimes the team made a mistake, sometimes I did it myself, but the fact is we have to be more consistent throughout the season. ”
