villeneuve:-honda's-powertrain-can-handle-just-four-races

World Champion of the Season 1997 Jacques Villeneuve is convinced that after the summer break, the Red Bull team faces a number of grid penalties, as Honda has prioritized speed before endurance at the development of the PU .

Honda is set to unveil a new specification of its PU in Monza with optional 25. horsepower, which, according to Villeneuve, will not benefit Red Bull in the long run.

The Canadian told Motorsport-Magazine:

“Honda’s PU can withstand only three or four races. That’s why they have so much power at one time, as they don’t try to handle seven races with one unit. If this tactic were also practiced with Mercedes and Ferrari, there would have 30 more horsepower than Honda currently has. Surely Red Bull will have a lot of problems as a result of this. ”
