Mercedes team chief Toto Wolff points out that Mercedes had to solve problems that plagued the Brackley team in recent races if it wanted to counteract the raw power of the Ferrari powertrain on the long plains of Spa Francorchamps.
The Ferrari racers finished third and fourth in the Hungarian GP race at Hungaroring, with Vettel and Leclerc just a minute behind the winner Lewis Hamilton.
Mercedes boss Toto Wolff points out despite the huge backlog of Scuderia in Budapest that the first race after the summer break could lead to a change in Formula One power ratio.
“After the break, Spa and Monza are waiting for us, which are completely different lanes. The power of the drive unit is crucial here, and we are coming to Ferrari terrain. To overcome them we will have to solve all the problems we have had so far in the season. ”
