Former Ferrari President Luca Di Montezemolo is convinced that despite his poor form recently, Sebastian Vettel still deserves the status of Maranello's first Scuderie racer.
Sebastian Vettel began the season as the undisputed first name of Ferrari, and after Charles Leclerc's victory at Spa Francorchamps, Ferrari has been increasingly called upon to grant the status of first runner to young Monacan.
Former Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo does not agree with such calls.
“Leclerc has proven to be extremely fast, but we must not forget that he also won the Spa with Vettl's help. Although he has had some problems lately, Vettel is still the first Ferrari racer. Everybody ever has a minor crisis and Sebastian is no exception. The fact is that he is a four-time world champion and I am sure he will be back to the top soon. ”
