Ferrari team boss Mattia Binotto, after Charles Leclerc's big win at Monza, explained the complication in qualifying accusing Sebastian Vettel of his teammate of not respecting team agreements.
Vettel, who provided shelter to Charles Leclerc in the first attempt, revealed by qualifications that Monacan should have returned the favor in the second attempt, which Leclerc did not want to do.
Vettel was disappointed by his team-mate's qualifications.
In my first attempt, I was in front of Leclerc, which meant I was completely out of leeway. I expected to be in the second trial before him as agreed. In the end, anyway, it didn't matter, but the fact is that the ride in the wind decided the best starting position today.
Ferrari chief Mattia Binotto explained the complication between his two drivers after the Monza race:
“Our racers will handle such matters internally and behind closed doors. We talked about what happened and Sebastian also accepted Charles's explanation. I am sure this event will not affect the relationship between our drivers. Of course, I cannot say that something like this will ever happen again, but we are sure that they will continue to cooperate very well in the future. ”
