Former Formula 1 racer JJ Lehto, a teammate of Michael Schumacher at Benetton, is convinced that Charles Leclerc has become the first Ferrari team to win two consecutive wins.
Lehto is convinced that Ferrari has always had a number 1 racer, and in his view Leclerc, with excellent form in recent races, has finally acquired that status.
Leclerc told Finnish Iltalehti:
Ferrari always had a driver who was the leader of the team. Leclerc has shown that this year's Ferrari car can also win and thus take on the status of first racer. A new sheriff has arrived in town and the team is supporting him. In fact, Vettel is in a very difficult position.
