singapore-is-drowning-in-smoke,-is-the-f1-race-endangered?

This weekend, Formula One is moving to Singapore, which is currently facing heavy air pollution due to large-scale fires in Indonesia. The levels of harmful particulate matter in the air far exceeded the limit values, and authorities ordered residents to stay at home due to health risks and closed schools for several days.

Despite the difficult conditions, the organizers of the F1 race expect that the atmosphere will improve so much by the start of the race weekend that arrival in Singapore will not endanger the health of either Formula One caravan or spectators.

However, the organizers will provide additional ambulance to assist people in the event of any problems, and F1 race visitors will also be able to purchase face masks for a symbolic price.
