FIE President Jean Todt has revealed that changing the rules will end the clocking at the end of the qualifications we witnessed in Monza.
Just before the end of the qualifying rounds for the Italian GP, a rarely-seen event happened, because of the tacticization and the search for the wind, almost all racers encountered a temporary ban.
Fia recognized Nico Hulkenberg, Carlos Sainz and Lance Stroll as the main culprits for the incident, and he also called them on the defense.
The commissioners issued a warning to all three racers, while urging the FIA to clearly define the rules as soon as possible in such situations, which would prevent similar incidents in the future.
Meanwhile, FIE President Jean Todt has announced changes that will prevent such complications:
“We will change the rules. We can't tell racers when they need to get on the track, but we can limit the maximum lap time. People paid for tickets to see the qualifications unfold, not playing that is dangerous at the same time. Something like this should never happen again. “
