Charles Leclerc beat all competition in the pre-Singapore GP qualifying race at the Marina Bay, and will start from the best starting position for the third time in a row.
Leclerc rolled to the top of the chart with a fantastic final lap, and Ferrari's speed in Singapore was a pleasant surprise for him as well.
According to his qualifications, Monachan described his “wild” circle, earning him a fifth pole position this season.
I was completely on the border and almost three times ended up in the wall, but in the end we did it. The pole position on this track is a big surprise for Ferrari, while also confirming that we are on the right track. We didn't expect to beat Mercedes here, but with the latest updates we've done a great job. We'll see what we can do tomorrow. We have a long and demanding race ahead, but our car is very good and we will try to stay on top.
