Michael Schumacher's longtime manager Willi Weber spoke after more than two decades of a collision between Schumacher and Jacques Villeneuve, one of the most controversial events in Formula One history.

Weber responded to the words of Bernie Eccleston, who told the German Bild that the legendary German racer knew no boundaries in his racing.

The long-time manager of the seven-time world champion told Kölner Explicit:

“Eccleston's comments are stupid. Villeneuve almost invited Jerez Michael to run into him. At the time, I told Michael, 'If you are going to do this, do it as needed. Just like Senna and Prost once did. Because Michael, as a German, knew everything was wrong, he did it halfway, and it worked out so he stayed out of everything. “
