Ferrari team boss Mattia Binotto has revealed that the Maranello team in the new Formula 2 season is expecting a lot from Mick Schumacher, who has not shined in his F2 premiere season.

Following last year's F3 European Championship title, Mick Schumacher transferred to Formula 2 and ended his first season in second motorsport with a modest 12.

Ferrari boss Mattia Binotto has revealed that the Maranello team expects significantly more from a member of their racing academy in the year 2020:

“For Mick, the first season was about gaining experience, and if you look only at newcomers, it worked out just fine. “I think the new season will be very important for him because he can show how much he has progressed. We are expecting a lot from next year, as he has a F2 racing season and we are sure he will be a good candidate for F1 racing in the future. ”
