Valtteri Bottas used the summer break of Formula 1 for another rally test. We have the proof photos!
(Motorsport-Total.com) – The rally sport seems to have done it to Formula 1 driver Valtteri Bottas. In Germany, the Finn tested with M-Sport the Ford Fiesta, which comes in the World Rally Championship (WRC) used. From 25. to 25. August the WRC is visiting the vineyards of Germany
The secret test was not the first ride for Bottas in the rally car. Between the Formula 1 races at Silverstone and Hockenheim, the current Mercedes driver ventured for the second time on the new terrain for him: In Finland, Bottas tested with Toyota on gravel the WRC Car of the Japanese . He was surprisingly fast and almost on a par with WRC driver Kris Meeke.
In January Bottas was already at the Lapland rally at the start . At that time, the Finn took the wheel of the M-Sport Ford Fiesta R5. He knew how to convince: Bottas grabbed the fifth place overall and even took a stage win.
In F1, Bottas has to go after the season 29 fear for his place at Mercedes. For the year 2020 the 29 – year old has no contract , Is Botta already looking for a Plan-B, should his Formula 1 adventure come to an abrupt end? The rally sport seems to have done to him.
