Fernando Alonso has claimed that racing at the Dakar Endurance Rally is anything but a media exchange of race replacements by Lewis Hamilton and Valentino Rossi late last year.
Fernando Alonso is tested in a number of racing categories by his Formula One reputation. The two-time World Champion thus became the WEC Series Champion, celebrating the Le Mans race for 24, and is currently racing for the famous Dakar Rally.
The Spaniard points out that his exploits should not be equated with the Hamilton test of the MotoGP motorcycle.
“It's not the same thing. Of course, it is an extremely difficult and arduous race, while Hamilton did a media show, which I am not interested in. I want to test my limits in other racing series and one of them is Dakar. ”
