Charles Leclerc acknowledged before the race weekend in Russia that his reaction to the Singapore race was inappropriate and promised that it would not happen again in the future.
After the Singapore GP, Charles Leclerc was visibly dissatisfied with Ferrari’s decision to stop as Sebastian Vettel’s first, despite being behind him on track. Leclerc, who repeatedly complained about radio over the course of the race over Ferrari’s strategy, said after the race that Ferrari had not acted fairly, as he believed he should have got the first choice as a leading driver.
Less than a week later, however, his passions had subsided, and Leclerc admitted that his reaction had been somewhat exaggerated.
“That’s not gonna happen again. My reaction in the car was inappropriate, even though there is a lot of adrenaline involved. The team did everything right. With a different strategy we wouldn’t have finished P1 and P2. I just need to control myself more in these situations”
