Alpha Tauri will be testing at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola next week with 2018 spec car. Unprecedented, for new-age Formula 1 teams, five-day testing is scheduled and the new 2021 car is also set to make an appearance.

The 2021 season will commence at the Bahrain Grand Prix at the end of March with winter testing at the very same circuit beforehand. Many teams are looking for other ways to get the necessary testing after only 3 days were scheduled for this year. It was announced on Thursday that Ferrari will test with both drivers next week at Fiorano with both Leclerc and Sainz behind the wheel which would be beneficial particularly to the latter.

Furthermore, rookie Yuki Tsunoda will be given a full test programme from Alpha Tauri which is set to last for 5 days. One of these days will be categorized as a filming day when Alpha Tauri will take the new 2021 version of the car for a ride. Usually, teams use as much time as possible to design a new car but it seems like the Italian team is one step ahead of the field. These days are mainly dedicated to Tsonuda, however, Pierre Gasly is also expected to make his kilometres at some point.
