Arrows testing at night, due to problems during the day

Every time I find something new about Arrows I just love the team that much more. An underdog that fought tooth and nail and made so many gambles that failed.

I really wanted Hill to win in Hungary in 97, and it was heartbreaking to see Villeneuve overtake him through the grass on the last lap

They really did try everything – they even built a couple of 3 seater f1 cars for promos/sponsors, and they are still around today. An unreal experience!

They only ran it for one year, but that 1997 Arrows livery was really well done

Can anyone give some more context? Where and why were they testing at night?

I can’t tell you where, but the answer to why is because of problems during the day.
