Ever been to Australia before? The whole country is great at that time of year – if money isn’t your primary concern for booking your holiday. The GP is good enough, but seeing the new cars in the flesh so early in the season makes all the other races so much more fun to follow.
Fly in to Melbourne, watch the GP, have some fun in the city with great restaurants, good art, real cosmopolitan feel. Drive a hire car to Adelaide along the Great Ocean Road. Consider Stop at Lorne and enjoy the beach and the forestry, drink wine in McLaren Vale (say hi to Ron and the lads) and the Barassoa.
Fly to Sydney and play with the tourists at the harbour/Opera House/Harbour Bridge. Take the commuter ferry to Manley beaches, stay near King’s Cross and enjoy what’s left of the grime (knowing full well every square metre in Sydney is a $million dollars!).
Fly home via Hong Kong, if that’s settled down, or Singapore or Dubai etc., with a long lay over.
