This might sound stupid, but is the DRS effect now „less“ because there is less of a gap that it can open up? I mean ok it probably evens out because the wing is already „flat“ so its like driving with 50% DRS.

Are they allowed by the FIA to just not run a rear wing? Regardless if it’s a good idea

I don’t think so. And even as shallow as this wing is it’ll still provide a good chunk of downforce.
