4 full years in F2/GP2 and he’s now only just getting towards the front when it’s probably one of the weaker years in terms of driver quality. Yet he’s still no way near De Vries in points. I can see Russell having an easier time beating his team mate next year than he has had even this year.

Well, you act like taking average drivers is something new for Williams. I don’t even blame them. Why put in a talent that’s cost you money while they already know that they won’t do anything special in 2020. Take the money and aim for 2021 should be my suggesting. I highly doubt their 2020 contender will be two seconds faster than this brick. Being faster than Kubica shouldn’t really be a challenge, even for Latifi.

Latifi placed 9th in the same year, while having already raced 2 full seasons before.
He’ll get his ass blasted to the Moon and back.

Seven years and two hundred and thirty eight starts in junior series, and he’s won 7 races.

I’d say Haryanto in 2016 and he didn’t get to F1 even remotely on talent but rather that the Indonesian government paid for his seat at Manor and then he got booted out because they ran out of funds or something.

20 SL points from F2 in 2017, 4 SL points from F2 in 2018, so a P5 finish (20 SL points) in F2 this year is enough.
