Looking left and then puts his back towards on coming traffic. Yikes!

He is definitely looking to the left continuously. I am watching this clip first time in years and I was expecting Vettel to emerge from top side as I was following Brave Russians line of sight.

I think he was looking at the marshall stand to see if there were still yellow flags. But tbh even that is probably giving him too much credit.

I thought it was him trying to make it obvious to oncoming people that he was going to be running back to where he came from rather than towards the other side of the track.

I’d imagine that in any sort of marshal training, that this would be extremely prohibited, at least without a yellow flag and cautioning the drivers etc.

*Marshal mate. Even in Russia the trackside personnel doesn’t kick your car.
