Eventful weeks lie behind Julian Hanses. The Euroformula Open was at the Hungaroring in Hungary and the Red Bull Ring in Austria. The Hildener showed his strength and fought for victories and podium finishes. With full throttle he goes into the second half of the year.

While the weekend at the Hungaroring on the outskirts of Budapest was anything but successful for Julian, he turned on the right way in Austria. “We did not get the car properly tuned in Hungary, which left me with no confidence. I have used the past few days again to prepare myself meticulously and now feel ready “, said the young Hildener before the start in Spielberg.

Already in qualifying on Saturday, the protégé from the team Motopark then fought for the pole position and was second at the end. From the front row, he took the lead directly in the race and built it out. But the joy did not last long: Julian was a little too fast at the start and received a drive-through penalty. Back on the track, he was the last and fought his way to eighth place until the checkered flag fell. “I was a blink of an eye too fast,” said the (****************************************************************************************) – year-old following, “the speed in the race but has fit and made possible my catching up.”

Everything went smoothly on Sunday. Until shortly before the end of the qualifying Julian led this and was ultimately counted again as second. This time, however, he was a bit restrained at the start and slipped to third place. But during the race, he fought back and even partially closed the gap to the front runner. In second place he scored important points and stays within striking distance. (*****************************************************************************************************) “Wow, those were two really good races and very motivating. The hard work has paid off this time. With its location in front of the Alps, the Red Bull Ring once again provided a great backdrop, which makes driving fun. Thanks to the team for the excellent job, “Julian said afterwards.
