When I think of these two, I always think of the “How well do Carlos Sainz and Lando Norris know each other?” challenge that McLaren posted. My favorite moment was when Carlos guessed all of Lando’s fears, which included Lando’s fear of Carlos. So they truly do carry on like older and younger brothers!

I’d like to think this whole crotch slapping was started by KMag when he nailed his personal trainer, but I suspect this sort of thing has been going on for a lot longer.

F1 has had a chronic problem with crotch tapping ever since the 80s when Nelson Piquet allegedly tapped the almost the entire paddock at the 1982 San Marino Grand Prix. René Arnoux and Michele Alboreto were particularly not impressed with his antics which they described as ‘unprofessional’ in a season marked by the loss of many prominent drivers.
