“We all charged our batteries over the holidays and are happy that the season is finally on. Of course we want to take the momentum from Riyadh into the new year, ”says team manager Allan McNish. “Last year we were strong in Santiago: Lucas drove the fastest lap in the Perfect Pole and Daniel was on the podium. But now the requirements are different, because the route layout has changed. Became that means, despite all the simulations, we'll only know exactly after the first free coaching. ”

For Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler battle it was an E-Prix with mixed emotions last year. With third place, Daniel Abt secured the first podium of the season 2018 / 19 and also drove the fastest lap. The Brazilian’s memories of Santiago are still positive: “Last season I was fastest in the Perfect Pole with a half second lead. Everyone in our team is highly motivated and absolutely wants to start the new year with a good result. Since the podium in Riyadh at the latest, we know that with the e-tron FE 06 also have a car this season with which we can drive for victories. “

Team colleague Daniel Abt would like to repeat the success from the previous year. At least. “I'm hot for Santiago and glad that I'm finally back in the race car,” says the 27 years old German. “Even if the start in Riyadh is not an easy battle, it has made us even more excited for the new season. The race in Santiago starts on Saturday 16 local time (20 o'clock CET) and is the 61. E-Prix in the young Formula E history.
