“FIA is proud to announce Teleportation.”

Medical F1 2 seater with Inters/Wets ready lets go!

level 2

They’ll struggle to fit ECNALUBMA on that…

The issue is that they cannot depart from the track because of the fog, so that solution wouldn’t fix anything

level 2

Could they also strike a deal with a hospital in a different city? For example the university hospitals in Bonn or Cologne.

level 1

Rumors say that they are trying to aquire extra equipment for another ICU. Might be the backup plan.

level 2

Geniune question here

Why don’t they just have their own hospital with everything they need?

They already have motorhomes or however they are called, can’t they do same with mini hospital?

Or is it too much work/expensive(highly doubt that one tho since it’s F1)/it would take too much space?

level 1

Wonder how that would work. Hospital is too far, cant really bring the hospital to the track either (to the extends needed)

level 2

Chinese GP a couple of years ago, they brought the equipment and specialists to a nearer hospital so road transport was within tolerance. I believe that is the alternative being investigated.

It was always risky to come to the Nürburgring in October but I guess Saturday and Sunday should be mostly dry. The only problems for the next two days could be gusty wind and the cold temperatures. But one should not rely solely on the weather predictions, as the weather in the Eifel region can change rapidly. Looking forward to the next two days. Might see some interesting developments in qualifying and race

level 1

Why can’t a medical helicopter IFR instead

level 2

It can but it can’t land IFR at the hospital’s helipad.
