The Berliner Joshua Dürksen set the best time in the 1st free working against the ADAC Formula 4 at the Red Bull Ring. The pilot of the ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg eV lapped the route in Styria in a time of 1: 45, 538 minutes and thus battle 0, 164 Seconds faster than the American Jak Crawford. The Red Bull Junior was able to improve significantly on his last lap, relegating his Van Amersfoort team-mate and championship leader Jonny Edgar to third place. The Englishman was half a second short of the best time.

On the traditional course in Austria, the young drivers from the ADAC high-speed school first had to get used to the unusually cool conditions; the times fell significantly during the session. Just behind Edgar, his biggest title rival Elias Seppänen from US Racing took fourth place in front of ADAC Foundation Sports Supporter Tim Tramnitz from Hamburg and Oliver Bearman, who also go to Originate up for the Kerpen racing team. The Czech Josef Knopp was seventh ahead of the Israeli Roee Meyuhas (R-ace GP), who will make his ADAC Formula 4 debut this weekend. Victor Bernier and Kirill Smal completed the top ten.
